We’ve gathered answers to common questions about our modern accommodations, exceptional amenities, and convenient downtown location in Portland, Maine. What is your cancellation policy?

For standard reservations, we ask that you contact the hotel 24 hours before arrival to cancel with no penalty. Some reservations have different cancellation policies; we advise you read your confirmation letter if there’s any questions on cancellations. Cancellation policies vary when booked through third party websites such as Expedia.

We offer on-site parking for $20 per night, per vehicle for overnight guests. The parking fee includes complimentary valet service. Guests use their room keys to access the hotel parking areas.

There is a parking garage located below and next to the building, suitable for most vehicles. If you’re traveling with an oversized vehicle or trailer hitch, we recommend calling ahead to reserve a spot in our employee lot.

Please note: EV charging is currently not available on property. However, a municipal lot with EV charging stations is located nearby.

Each room has a mini fridge. There is a communal microwave on each floor next to the ice machines.

Our shuttle runs between 4am and 1am and is subject to availability. We only schedule rides to the airport within 24 hours prior, other shuttle rides are on-demand and based on availability. We recommend calling the hotel after you’ve collected any belongings from baggage claim to request a ride from the airport.

Our Port of Call restaurant is open for breakfast from 6:30am until 11am. The Port of Call Lounge is open from 3pm until 10pm.

We offer a full-service restaurant, entrance located in the lobby. It is not complimentary, although there are packages available that include breakfast vouchers (vouchers given at check-in).

Room service is available during restaurant hours.

We do not have a hot tub. We have the largest indoor pool in Portland, located on G3. There is also a dry sauna in the fitness center.

We have a coin-operated washer and dryer available for guest use on the 11th floor. Detergent and quarters can be purchased at the front desk. We also offer dry cleaning services through Pratt Abbott.

We are not pet friendly. We allow service animals only.

Yes, we have a printing station available in the lobby for guest use.

We require guests to be 18 or older for check-in.

We require the guest whose name is on the reservation to check in. A valid photo ID and a physical credit or debit card are required to authorize at check-in for the full amount of the stay, plus a $25 per night hold for incidentals.

If the credit card will not be present at check-in, please reach out to frontdesk@innbythebay.com or call the hotel directly prior to your arrival. We’ll send you a secure credit card authorization form to complete via email.

There are QR codes located throughout the hotel for tipping housekeepers, waitstaff, and bellman.
